March 24, 2015, DURANGO, CO. — Swan Global Investments, an independent advisory firm based in Durango Colorado, announced it has received a $23 million growth equity investment from FTV Capital. The capital will be used by Swan to expand its product line by increasing its research and development, along with its operations, including customer support and distribution of its products. As part of this investment, Richard Garman, managing partner of FTV Capital, will be joining the company’s board. In 1997, Swan developed the Defined Risk Strategy (DRS), which is an actively managed, hedged equity, rules-based process.
