InvestCloud Secures $45 Million Growth Equity Investment
Funding Led by FTV Capital Will Enhance Client Success While Expanding Global Footprint
Los Angeles – October 13, 2015 – InvestCloud, Inc, a provider of cloud-based front and middle-office solutions focused on digitizing customer experiences and internal operations for global investment advisors, today announced it has raised $45 million in growth equity funding. The round was led by FTV Capital and will be used to further invest in the company’s state-of-the-art platform and functionality, enhance customer service, and expand the company’s global footprint. Richard Garman, FTV Capital managing partner, has joined InvestCloud’s board of directors.
InvestCloud has built a proprietary technology platform that offers the investment community the ability to easily build and customize an end-to-end digital experience. Their platform uses highly configurable modules, viewed via a single dashboard, integrating dozens of disparate internal/external financial systems, accounts and products, and enabling unique reports, views of data and workflows. InvestCloud serves a wide range of investment managers, including wealth advisors, large family offices, asset allocators (pension funds, endowments), and asset services providers (hedge fund administrators, independent wealth platforms). Providing over 4,000 different digital user interfaces, InvestCloud’s modules include client communications (document reporting, client reporting, client portal, mobility), client management (CRM and content management system/integration), portfolio management (decision support, performance reporting, attribution, order management, research), operational management (compliance, accounting, billing) and platform repository (data warehousing, aggregation). InvestCloud has over 650 clients on the platform with 150,000 users, and now supports over $1.4 trillion in assets.
“InvestCloud has achieved remarkable momentum by building an easily deployable and scalable first- class investment platform for any professional investment manager or financial institution,” said John Wise, chairman and CEO of InvestCloud, Inc. “We are excited to be joining forces with FTV Capital, a firm that brings a proven growth equity track record, highly relevant financial services domain expertise and an attractive network of financial services executives—potentially future InvestCloud customers. We are also excited to leverage our partnership with FTV to expand into Europe as the initial step in achieving our ‘global footprint’. We will be opening offices in London and Zurich in 2016.”
Financial institutions of all sizes suffer from the tyranny of Excel spreadsheets and legacy technology, as well as the risk and friction of disparate data systems. This problem is rooted in the programming culture of the past which dictated that new features must be hard-coded. InvestCloud focuses on a single, clean source of data and thousands of lightweight applets that can be combined and configured into solutions in days and weeks rather than months and years. This solution enables dynamic access to information via any device for both internal and external clients.
“In a few short years, InvestCloud has positioned itself not only as the leader in advanced platforms for investment managers, but has become the gold standard for user experience, while maintaining the highest level of security. A digital capability was once considered a ‘nice to have’ option; we’ve heard from dozens of financial institutions in FTV’s Global Partner Network that a digital client experience has now become a competitive necessity,” said Richard Garman, managing partner, FTV Capital. “We look forward to supporting John and his experienced team to help accelerate strong company growth.”
