Many, if not all, reading this have personally experienced a cyber security incident – whether having an account hacked or a password leaked or being impacted by a larger scale data breach. In the last year alone, there has been a 70% increase in cyber crimes using leaked credentials. With an ever-increasing number of cyber attacks, broad awareness of cyber risks is growing, and so too there’s a growing focus on executive protection and digital privacy, especially with recent events. At the same time, the increasing number of legal data brokers and lack of regulation make it more difficult than ever to protect one’s information online. For high net-worth individuals and executives, and the enterprises they serve, the ramifications of this can be significant. This is why, increasingly, enterprises deem the protection of individual executives – not just physically but also digitally – as a key imperative to protecting their organizations as a whole, safeguarding their data, information and physical assets.
Against this backdrop, we are excited to announce our investment in 360 Privacy, a leading digital executive protection platform for organizations of all sizes across industries.
360 Privacy’s mission is to protect the digital identity, reputation and security of high-profile executives, athletes and high-net-worth families. By removing personally identifiable information (PII) from data brokers’ websites on the open web and conducting daily monitoring on the deep and dark web, the company helps keep its clients’ information out of the hands of sophisticated threat actors and fraudsters. 360 Privacy covers over 400 data broker websites and is the only firm that conducts daily scans and removal of repopulated data. Its proprietary technology, coupled with its white glove service approach, allows for a more comprehensive removal of sensitive pieces of information, setting the 360 Privacy apart from other industry players.
We were drawn to 360 Privacy’s truly comprehensive solution, its ability to win and retain blue-chip enterprise logos and the company’s impeccable reputation in the industry. Comprised of members of the Special Operations Forces, Intelligence Community and technology experts, 360 Privacy’s leadership team has deep ties into the executive protection landscape and domain expertise that give them a unique point of view on technology development and go-to-market. In speaking to multiple customers, we heard resounding positive feedback about 360 Privacy’s strong reputation, high-caliber white glove service and the mission criticality of its offering in today’s environment. Today, 360 Privacy serves roughly one-third of Fortune 100 companies, including many organizations in FTV’s Global Partner Network® where we look forward to making further commercial inroads to drive the company’s expansion.
This investment marks one of FTV’s first investments in Ascend strategy and FTV’s latest investment in the broader cyber security space joining FTV portfolio companies such as A-LIGN, ID.me and ReliaQuest. We could not be more thrilled to partner with Adam Jackson and the rest of the 360 Privacy team to accelerate the company’s expansion, broaden its platform capabilities and cement their category leadership.
Welcome to the FTV portfolio, 360!
