We’re delighted to share that Robert Anderson, partner at FTV Capital, has been named among The Top 25 Software Investors of 2022 by GrowthCap, ranking #8 on the list. This recognition comes on the heels of several recent awards earned by FTV, including FTV being named to Inc.’s annual Founder-Friendly Investors list at the beginning of October.
The 2022 awardees are some of the most experienced, accomplished and exceptional individuals in software investing. According to GrowthCap, several hundred firms were considered at the start of the awards process, but only 65 made it to the final rounds. While there are thousands of investors in the software space, the ability to produce solid consistent performance seems to be concentrated among a select group of firms. Nominees were evaluated based on feedback from colleagues, portfolio company CEOs and/or industry peers, as well as their breadth of deal experience, recent investments and exits, demonstrated leadership and uniqueness of capabilities, among other attributes.
FTV has a proven track record of investing in software businesses since its founding in 1998. Specifically, Rob leads investments in financial technology and payments, with a number of recent investments at the intersection of software, payments and embedded finance. At FTV, Rob has been actively involved in nearly 20 investments, totaling over $1.2 billion in capital deployed. Rob’s current investments and board seats include Derivative Path, Docupace, EBANX, LoanPro, Neon One, Plate IQ, SingleOps, Solid, Tango Card, Vagaro and Xplor. His representative exits and IPOs include Cashstar (acquired by Blackhawk Network), Enfusion (NYSE: ENFN), InvestCloud (recapitalized by Motive Partners and Clearlake Capital) and VPay (acquired by Optum/UnitedHealth Group).
“Software is integral to every enterprise across every sector, and it’s exciting to partner with founders who are delivering creative technology solutions that spur lasting innovation across industries,” said Rob. “For more than two decades, FTV’s goal has been to help founder-owned companies and great management teams maximize their success by leveraging our strong track record, deep sector expertise, differentiated Global Partner Network® and expert operational resources. I’m honored to be investing alongside the talented team at FTV as we continue our successful tradition of investing in software.”
